Domaine Christian Moreau
Although their first commercial vintage was only in 2002, Domaine Christian Moreau have quickly elevated themselves to the very top of the Chablis tree of quality.
They have 6 hectares of Chablis Grand Cru and 5 hectares of Chablis 1er Cru Vaillon.
These are amongst the most perfectly sited vineyards in the appelation and have, for generations, been the personal property of the Moreau family.
Domaine Christian Moreau have no connection or association with the large and respected négociant of the same name.
Christian, a larger-than-life personality, and his highly qualified oenologue son, Fabien, are making spectacular hand-crafted Chablis.
We only receive a small allocation of each vintage, as the wines are in such demand, from all the top wine merchants and restaurants around the world, and their annual production is no where close to meeting this demand. That is exacerbated with the 2021 vintage, which was about 25% down in quantity due to adverse weather conditions throughout the growing season
