Z or “Zeter” Rotwein is rather remarkable and certainly impressed us the first time we tasted it.
Oliver Zeter has all sorts of contacts in the German wine trade, and has unearthed three different grape varieties from various friends and blended them together in this seamless, cranberry and blackcurrant infused mid-weight red with hints of old leather armchairs rolling around somewhere in the glass.
The blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Cabernet Franc and 10% Syrah.
