From Mullineux, the multi award-winning winemakers of Swartland, South Africa, this Syrah has a classic perfume of lillies, fresh mulberries and black olive pips.
A structured palate presents intricate layers of kumquat, dark plum, sour cherry and star anise, finishing with powerful and velvety tannins.
The grapes are selected from seven sustainably farmed vineyard in different parts of the Swartland region. These include those planted in the stony shale and schist soils of the Kasteelberg, the dry-land, bush vines grown in the decomposed granite of the Paardeberg, and the rolling, iron-rich soils west of Malmesbury.
