£17.95
A new bodegas founded in 2000 in Pesquera de Duero. The owner, Felix de Los Rios, has 65 hectares of vineyards ranging from 11 to 65 years of age. Modern and intense wines with richness and character that is a must for red wine fans and shows the quality of this renowned, but often overlooked, wine region in North-Central Spain.
This red is made from hand harvested Tempranillo grapes, which after vinification, are aged for six months in oak. Balanced and firm with good tannin structure, a smoky note to the nose and ripe hedgerow fruit on the palate with a soft hint of barrel toast on the finish.
