Made from hand-picked grapes which are foot-trodden in the traditional manner, Ponte das Canas from Herdade do Mouchão pours a distinctive garnet colour and immediately presents aromas of black fruits, spices and floral violets.
The mouthfeel is definitely fresh with a soft yet firm structure, and very well balanced.
Herdade do Mouchão ages Ponte das Canas in French oak barrels for up to two years and it will remain in bottle for a further 12-months before release.
This is an opulent, elegant red from this acclaimed Portuguese winemaker.
