Cabernet Sauvignon, La Galinière
France
£10.95
A serious red, La Galinière Cabernet Sauvignon has a firm structure with nice balanced cassis fruit and tannins. Full flavoured, ripe and fruity with a dusty nose and pliant finish.
Our friends at Château du Donjon produce some truly excellent Vin de Pays – healthy and vibrant examples of varietal wines from their vineyards at Peyriac. They also reflect exceptional value for money.
The Château du Donjon was once the property of the Benedictine monks of the Abbey of Caunes and has been owned by the family since the 15th century. The vineyards can be found on the gravel terraces of clay-limestone slopes, where the Mediterranean climate is hot and dry.
