Esperanto, Via Istrum
Bulgaria
£16.95
Chateau Burgozone is a relative newcomer being founded in 2000. A boutique family run winery using both traditional, indigenous grape variety and more recognisable names for their excellent wine. Named after a Roman fortress built on the ancient Via Istrum, a key road in the Roman Empire linking the Danube Delta to Western Europe.
Gamza, a Bulgarian grape, is blended with Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah to make a full bodied and fruit driven red. Rounded on the palate with nice supple tannins and soft spicy notes. Succulent red with generous flavours.
