Chardonnay Barrique, Family Reserve

Chateau Burgozone is a relative newcomer being founded in 2000. A boutique family run winery using both traditional, indigenous grape variety and more recognisable names for their excellent wine. Named after a Roman fortress built on the ancient Via Istrum, a key road in the Roman Empire linking the Danube Delta to Western Europe.

A delicious full bodied Chardonnay benefitting from oak ageing which adds fresh vanilla notes to the ripe tropical fruit flavours on the palate. Rounded and generous, it has great ageing potential and shows a complexity and structure that would not be out of place in Burgundy.
