Stainton Wines are exclusive importers of wines from the Biurko Gorri small organic winery in the Navarra region of Spain, run by Ramon Llorens and his family.
No irrigation, poor soils and the continental climate of this mountain area produce a wine with high fruit intensity in the aromas and flavours.
Biurko Gorri Rioja Crianza Tinto spends 12-months in French oak, followed by a further 12-months stabilising in tanks, before a further 6-months minimum in the bottle in order to achieve the softness, rounding and elegance.
Intense with forest fruits on the nose, this is a full-bodied Spanish red which strikes a good balance between sweetness and acidity.
