Primitivo Salento
Italy
£13.50
Primitivo Salento by Casato di Melzi has a warm and intense character, firm with bramble fruit hints, nicely balanced tannins and acidity.
This is a very fulsome dry red wine, and rich with a dark, smoky overtone which is velevety and quite lively on the palate.
The Biscardi family are based in Soave, but have taken their expertise to the Puglia region in Italy’s south where they produce some tremendous wines from the local grape varieties.
