Château Lamothe de Haux, Bordeaux Blanc Sec
France
£12.95
White Bordeaux is not in fashion and we cannot understand why – for us, ripeness, freshness and persistence is what most people are looking for in a dry white wine.
Bordeaux Blanc Sec from Château Lamothe de Haux has all these attributes in bucket loads, so need to follow the hoards down the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc road as this French white really is ridiculously good value by comparison.
The secret is that only 40% of the wine is made up of Sauvignon Blanc, this is embellished and improved by 40% Semillon, adding a luxurious richness, and 20% Muscadelle for aroma and suppleness.
As you can probably gather, here at Stainton Wines, we recommend it wholeheartedly!
